Gothi Redwald OR If you’re anything like me you may have spent your younger years thinking up challenging scenarios which you could face down heroically. I remember days spent in the Scout Movement becoming interested in the outdoors and receiving my Backwoodsman badge. It was small fry stuff but with my pocket money I purchased […]
OR Media is excited to announce the pre-Yule release of our brand new album entitled ‘Project: Odin – Songs to the Allfather’.
A significant number of Odinist artists have once again contributed to what is potentially OR Media’s most groundbreaking music release to date. This album – with tracks inspired by the Allfather – is a culmination of artists’ musical interpretation of the esoteric and exoteric meaning of Odin and contains tracks which span a broad spectrum including acoustic, metal, folk, contemporary and meditative.
OR Media is preparing to breathe life into a brand new music album with a working title of ‘Project: Odin’.
The success of OR Media’s previous albums proved that members and friends of the Odinic Rite have the talent and the determination to create, complete and submit tracks from a variety of musical genres and in keeping with the Odinic pantheon.
Project: Odin aims to focus artists’ song creation on a single deity yet retains the capacity to evolve this idea using the immense landscape of our mythology and our own contemporary imagination.
OR Media and Draupnir Hearth present a three part film on the ancient Waes Haeling ceremony, often referred to as ‘Wassailing’, where participants gather to sing songs and be merry… with the aid of a little traditionally brewed cider and perry.
Tracks have now been compiled for our latest music project (working title – Folk Spirit III). More tracks have been promised, and further submissions will go towards a future release. Firstly, for those of you who have contributed in the past, and to those who would like to contribute in future, please gather your creative […]
As one year fades and another one dawns, Odinic Rite Media presents a sequel to the popular ‘Odinism – An Eternal Faith’. This new film, entitled ‘Odinism – Our Natural Religion’, was shot on location at Tyrley locks, Shropshire, England during Yule 2010 c/e. ‘Odinism – Our Natural Religion’ is presented by Redwald, who discusses […]
With the first whisper of spring in the air, new life is preparing to burst forth from the previously frosted earth. Odinists are in tune with the natural cycles of Midgard, and springtime is one of the most inspiring of seasons. It is with this in mind that OR Media issues a clarion call to […]
The song, ‘The Wheel’ includes a verse for each season, and with the leaves turning a beautiful yet sad golden hue in merry England, perhaps thoughts of countryside walks, the crackle of leaves underfoot, pub fires and the stealthy approach of Jack Frost might just inspire a few of our own musicians to pick up their instrument of choice and pen a folk song relating to their naturalistic feelings.
What started as an idea, an imaginative spark, has now become reality. The first OR Media music project, indeed the whole concept for OR Media itself, came from the raw beginnings of a simple concept – to promote the Odinic Rite and Odinism through the medium of music, and to form a collection of folk songs which would power a new generation of forward-thinking Odinists.
