Forward As One – Personal And Unified Advancement Within The Odinic Rite

By Redwald AOR
As a religious movement that is not seen as mainstream yet, it should be viewed necessary to cast an occasional critical eye on ourselves – our attitude, our achievements and our ability to mobilise folk and resources to our best advantage.

Freedom

,
by Redwald OR When Friedrich Nietzsche wrote in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, “Are you a man as ought to escape from a yoke?”, he sparked an interesting dilemma for anyone of an evolutionary Odinic mindset.

New Release: Folk Flame – A Third Compilation of Odinist Artists

The OR Media in association with the Odinic Rite are proud to announce the release of our third album, entitled 'Folk Flame'.

Donar’s Hearth OR Yule Booklets

Every year Donar's Hearth OR and the Odinic Rite Vinland host a Yule Celebration. The following booklets contain Yule Carols, Crafts, and stories to use through out the Yule Season. We use them every year at our gathering, an everyone - young and old alike - enjoy them. We hope you do too!

Positive Resistance as Heathen Virtue

Within a sound morality and in recognition of the lifestruggle is the virtue of resistance: resistance to degeneracy, to vice, to atheism, to monotheism, to universalism, unsoundness, stagnancy, ad infinitum.

Time to Honour an Unsung Hero – Hoskuld CG

By Heimgest DCG Thankfully our folk also have many heroes from the past who not only can inspire us today but also give us a sense of who we are. It is for this reason that many modern state operated educational establishments (or so called educational establishments) no longer teach the history of our people. The New Awakening is at a stage now where we also have heroes from the much more recent past– truly Odinic heroes and heroines who have dedicated themselves to the restoration of our ancestral way.

Balder, Ruler of an Age to come

By Arnbald, OR-B & FS In the heathen tradition, Balder is certainly one of the most popular, but also one of the most perplexing gods. He seems to be quite well known. Almost everyone has heard of him or, at least, knows his name. But actually, very little is known of this divine character. We hardly find a book which would deal exclusively or mainly of him.

The Solitary Path

By Mike P AOR I do not know the true figures, but I would hazard a guess that about 80% of the Odinic Rite membership celebrates its religion in a solitary manner. Which means that for the vast majority of us Blot and Sumbel are simply not going to happen – we have no-one with whom to share such occasions, no-one we can join in prayer or practice. Or have we?

Folk Spirit – A Compilation of Odinist Artists

Folk Spirit Cover Front

We are very proud to announce the release of our first CD, a compilation of music by members and friends of the Odinic Rite.

The compilation is a showcase containing a variety of genres from Odinist around the world.

LAW, JUSTICE, FREEDOM

AS A PEOPLE we are noted for our law-abiding qualities or recognition of the need for order. As Odinists we realise even more the need for order if we are to flourish. Nature is ordered, a fact which escapes many hippy-type heathens. If order breaks down chaos descends. So what is order?

CONTINUING TRADITION

As is known, our blood ancestors passed on the bulk of their wisdom and knowledge by word of mouth. Deep wisdom was relayed from generation to generation in this way, sometimes by direct instruction, often in tales, myths, and legends.

Loki

,
It is incorrect, although a prevalent concept among Odinists, to equate Loki with the Judeo-Christian devil, that odd concept of a totally evil force that yet does the dirty work for a supposedly total good force. Loki is not the devil.
