Some Thoughts about Death and our Relationship with Her

By Hariulf OR In this article, I have decided to speak of a subject that we do not cover very often in our daily discussion but that is yet one of the few certainties we have in life: death. This is a huge topic and I think we could write many books without ever being able to fully cover it. In this article I’ll just offer some reflections on this subject that came during my meditations.

The 9 Noble Virtues – A Suitable Hierarchy

By K Nowakowski AOR We took the Nine Noble Virtues, first defining each one as applied to the self and arranged in order of what we thought is a suitable hierarchy of importance and gave a brief explanation. This is a personal assertion that you may or may not agree with, though, thought provoking as it is I hope it presents an additional way to consider these virtues regarded so.

Legacy of Blood

By Ulfhethnar Odinsen AOR The genetic roots of our people long predate the ancient civilisations and cultures of the Nordic North as well as those of Rome, Egypt and Sumer. They were outward manifestations of a people’s inherent drive to understand and create order in an otherwise chaotic world. A desire to emulate the Gods who set the Sun, Moon and Stars into motions and brought a semblance of order.

Hyndluljoth (The Poem of Hyndla)

By Einar Randall AOR This is a myth I have never before really contemplated on. I will begin with a summary of the myth and then discuss my own views and interpretation.

Odinic Vision

By Shawn E AOR - ORBriefing 221 - Spring 2261 It has been accepted by many practitioners of Asatru, Heathenism, and Odinism that Odin, All Father of the Folk sacrificed his eye at some point in Mimir’s well. However, personally I have yet to find any evidence of this sacrifice for myself in the lore we generally accept as the Prose and Poetic Eddas... or logic. It is the intention of this article to explore what I have been able to find and share it.

An Understanding of the role of Loki in Odinic Mythology

,
By Heimgest DCG
In the myths, the figure of Loki is present throughout the cycle and is only vanquished at Ragnarok. Viewing the myths on the level of our own personal evolution and self realisation, the Ragnarok is representative of our final overcoming of that which stands in our way to attaining that higher evolution, so we see that it is only by overcoming that “enemy” that we are successful in that.

My Profession

,
A Report by Redwald OR If I’m honest, no doubt like many others, I considered Profession rather early on in my OR ‘apprenticeship’. Being pretty eager regarding new challenges, I have often tried to run before I can walk. Sometimes this enthusiasm has paid off, and other times I’ve ended up taking on a bit too much for my own good. Indeed, my wife is often telling me that I do too much... and I nod, smile and tell her that my greatest fear is to be lying on my death bed regretting not having done more.

A statement from the Court of Gothar

To avoid any confusion it has become necessary to point out that The Odinic Rite is not associated in any way whatsoever with the groups Odinic Rite Australia and lately the Odinic Rite Argentina. The Odinic Rite is an international organisation…

Mountain and Spirituality

By Hariulf OR As many of you know I have the chance to live in the beautiful Swiss Alps. It goes without saying that the mountain has always played a great role in my life. These are also these beautiful Alps who inspired me this article. I hope it will be not to confuse, I always have a lot of difficulties to translate my thoughts into words. So I hope this short article will have sense for you.

Odic Force Meditation

,
This new presentation from OR Media is a very useful tool to aid meditation (and also light trance state/work) as Redwald OR has constructed it in such a way that this guided 'Odic Force meditation' not only leads one along a path but gives meditation and light trance inducing techniques as it guides.

Harmonic Vibrations

By Brandon W AOR An army troop marching at full cadence, is ordered to stop marching and walk across a bridge at each soldier’s own individual gait. This is due to the fact that the “in time” stepping produces vibration and the multitude of soldiers adding to the waves of vibration could bring the bridge tumbling down.

Your Heritage, Your Birthright

By Ramona W AOR From infancy to youth, I was neck deep in Christianity, as devout as any, lost in love and appreciation for an Almighty Creator I had been taught to fear and respect. Throughout my upbringing, I constantly encountered situations and teachings involving my faith that raised numerous questions for me that never were answered to my satisfaction. Hence, my faith weakened. But I blindly followed, as I was taught to do.
