The Yule Tower, Heart(h) of the Northern World.
Deities & LoreBy Arnbald OR-B & FS (Brittany & French Saxony)
For many Odinists today, the Yule tower (Julleuchter) appears as one of the main cultual artefacts in the family hof. As its names suggests, it is mainly involved in the Yule time celebrations. If it has became an important symbol of the old faith, the artefact itself – as we shall see – not necessarily an old symbol.

The Solitary Path
OR and OdinismBy Mike P AOR
I do not know the true figures, but I would hazard a guess that about 80% of the Odinic Rite membership celebrates its religion in a solitary manner. Which means that for the vast majority of us Blot and Sumbel are simply not going to happen – we have no-one with whom to share such occasions, no-one we can join in prayer or practice. Or have we?

Modern Enemy – Modern Psyche
Family & SocietyBy Phil AOR
This article is not intended to be a history of Kings and wars, nor could I relate facts any better than the multitude of books available on the subject. What this article is about is the psychological and physical way power is won and lost, how it affects the people of Britain today and how we can reclaim our birthright.

Attracting Women to the Rite – Some considerations.
Family & Society, OR and OdinismBy Eowyn OR
As a revolutionary organisation operating within the context of a modern universalist culture, the OR faces many challenges to not only sustain folkish ways, but also to build towards a better future for its people with an infrastructure that honours multiversal values. Amongst the most pressing challenges we face is that of attracting more women into the Rite. This is not merely an exercise in building numbers, nor even about trying to have equal numbers of each sex (as desirable as this might be); it is about a fundamental balancing of the energies that create the matrix on which the Rite's activities are woven.

Criticism or Endorsement of the OR Way?
OR and OdinismBy Heimgest CG
This has been a very good year for the Rite on many levels. There have been too many initiatives and activities conducted this year to list them all here, suffice to say we have advanced in many areas.

Rites of Passage: Initiation as a Developmental Tool
Family & Societyby Katia Puryear
As a student of ancient ethnological systems and religions, I have noticed various institutions successfully utilized by tribal cultures in raising children to become mature, competent adults. One of these, and probably the most important, is the use of initiations, also called Rites of Passage among coming-of-age ceremonies, which are still used among various indigenous people around the world today.

Ragnarok
Deities & Loreby Asrad CG (based on a talk presented at the Great Moot 2256)
Today I would like to talk to you about what is perhaps the most well know of all our Odinic Myths, the Ragnarok. People that know nothing of Odinism or our rich and wonderful Odinic mythology will have heard of the Ragnarok. They may know of it as the “Doom of the Gods” or Richard Wagner’s Classical masterpiece “Twilight of the Gods”. Of all our myths this one section of our mythology is without doubt the most written about, most discussed, and in my opinion the most relevant to us as individuals as a group and as a folk unit.

Perfect Myth (a fleeting reflection)
Deities & Lore, OR and OdinismBy Eowyn OR
We wistfully imagine the perfect world with a characteristic sigh that simultaneously acknowledges that it just can't be. And therein lies the real crux of the matter. In striving for perfection, our ego creates in our mind's eye a static image- a model carved in stone- of something we think we 'have to' reach, whilst simultaneously in our hearts, we know this is impossible to achieve.

Quantum Mechanics, the New Physics, and Odinism
OR and OdinismBy Phil AOR
If the title of this article leaves you feeling puzzled, please take a second to compose yourself. Like the game of chess, the basics of Quantum Mechanics are quite easily explained, although a more detailed study might well involve years of dedication. Put simply, Quantum Mechanics is the scientific observation of sub-atomic particles. A sub-atomic particle is anything smaller than an atom - an electron, for example.
Milestones
OR and OdinismBy William "Hrutr" Barron AOR
Often in our lives, we pass what we call "milestones"; pivotal moments we mark as special for one reason or another. This past month, Snowmoon 2256re, marked the passing of no less than four milestones in my present life, and if you will indulge me, I would like to celebrate them with you.

Ordeal
OR and OdinismBy Lou Walters AOR
On this spiritual path that we have dedicated ourselves to, we will find ourselves tested on a daily basis on a spiritual and mental and physical level. This is as it should be, otherwise how could we grow, how could we test our mettle!
Our ancestors called this testing process The Ordeal.

A Re-wakening of the Folk
OR and OdinismBy Phil AOR
If you were to ask almost any indigenous Briton what, in his or her opinion is the predominant religion of our Nation, you would certainly get the answer, ‘Christian’. But is this correct?
